Greetings of Peace!
I am a scholar/grantee of DA ACEF-GIAHEP but still haven’t received a centavo from the promised financial benefits of the said program. Long story short, the DA ACEF said that CHED would facilitate the request of the budget and distribution of the benefits. On the other hand, CHED said that the budget is already requested, and as per their (CHED-OSDS-LSAD) secretary/official, funds shall be released around the second quarter of 2022. So, may I humbly ask for an update/status of budget request for the 2020-2021 grantees?

3. Dear Mr. Feria,
May we respectfully inform you that the cash allocation amounting to P175,655,000.00 was issued to the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) on November 08, 2022, for the payment of financial benefits of grantees under the Agricultural Competitiveness Enhance Fund – Grantees-In-Aid for Higher Education Program. The amount covers the financial benefits of grantees enrolled in Academic Years 2019-2020, 2020-2021, and 2021-2022.
CHED submitted another request for cash allocation (in the same amount) per letter dated January 17, 2023, however, it was returned by this Department, due to inconsistent and incomplete supporting documents.
As of date, there is no pending request for release of funds. Considering that it is the CHED who make payments to beneficiaries (e.g. scholars, higher education institutions), we suggest that you coordinate directly with the Commission.
