January 26, 2022 Dear KEINTH, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Jan 26, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for information regarding the unavailability of passport appointment slots for 2022 Response to your request Please be advised that passport appointment slots are limited by the maximum capacity of applicants and personnel allowed within our Consular Offices, in compliance with prescribed health and safety protocols, particularly physical distancing measures. The DFA-Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-OCA) is constantly monitoring the situation and adjusting the available appointment slots, as appropriate. The DFA prioritizes the safety of the public and of its personnel, and we appreciate your understanding as adjustments are made to operate under the “new normal” in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.
