November 21, 2023 Dear Mr. Cadano: Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Nov 20, 2023 01:09:06 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for TIN number. Response to your request In reply, after careful consideration, we resolve to deny your request due to the reason that Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Other Relevant Personal Information is considered a piece of Sensitive Personal Information that is bounded by the Republic Act (RA) No. 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012, and as such, it is not advisable to be uploaded in the FOI Portal because this is a public website. Manual Verification at Revenue District Office: • You may visit any Revenue District Office (RDO) to personally verify if you have an existing Tax Identification Number (TIN). Please bring any government issued identification card/s (one primary, or two secondary IDs) containing your photo and signature; • If the request is made through a representative, a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) of the requestor together with any government issued identification card/s (one primary, or two secondary IDs) containing the photo and signature of both the requestor and the representative shall be presented; and • If the requestor is a Corporation, a Board Resolution or Secretary Certificate shall be presented. Note: The SPA or the Board Resolution and/or Secretary Certificate shall specifically state the request for TIN Verification. Online Verification: 1. Through the Online Registration and Update System (ORUS) TIN Verification and BIR Registered Business Status Search Facility functionality; or 2. You can now retrieve your Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Revenue District Office (RDO) Code through Revie’s TIN Inquiry Module.
