3 November 2020 Dear Ms. Mary Kathleen Relucio, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 3 November 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following for your thesis research: (1) Statistical Data of Children in conflict with the law in Antipolo and Rizal, including: (a) Their population per age bracket; (b) Their population by gender; (c) Their population by offenses committed; and (d) Their yearly population from 2010-2019; (2) List of facilities that handles/rehabilitate Children in Conflict with the Law in Antipolo and Rizal; and (3) What are the aftercare programs conducted for the Children in Conflict with the Law. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) that may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the JJWC oversees the implementation of the law. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 921-0565 or via email at [email protected]. Further, the data for number (1) might be available at the Philippine National Police (PNP), specifically the Women Children Protection Center (WCPC), since people report crimes, even those committed by children including heinous crimes, to the PNP directly.
