Good day! I am Paolo R. Baysa, a bona fide 5th-year B.S. Architecture student from Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Sta. Mesa, Manila. I am writing to request specific files that I would be needing for the research I would conduct to fulfill my Architectural Thesis. Currently, I am looking for viable projects that would bring betterment to the Filipino Youth, which will, later on, may bring a great impact on our country’s future. I have found proposed projects from The House of Representatives in the form of House Bills. Which include the following: 1. HB 05434 (18TH Congress) An Act Establishing a National Science and Mathematics High School Campus in the Municipality of Iguig, Province of Cagayan to be known as the Cagayan National Science and Mathematics Highschool and Appropriating funds therefor. 2. HB 05635 (18TH Congress) An Act Establishing a Philippine Science High School Campus in the Municipality of Iguig, Province of Cagayan and Appropriating funds therefor. 3. HB 02947 (19TH Congress) An Act Establishing a Philippine Science High School Campus in the Municipality of Iguig, Province of Cagayan and Appropriating funds therefor. The bill being pursued on different forms and Congress, and having progress towards approval into a Republic Act proves that is needed and should be supported. Thus, I view this project to be viable and aligned with my goals. Aside from being a former native of the Province of Cagayan, I see the potential of the province as one of the major drivers of the economic growth of the country. It is also stated in the Regional Development Plan of Region II that Cagayan Valley is viewed to be the gateway toward East Asia. Hence, its citizen, starting from the youth must be equipped with the essential and specialized knowledge and skills. East Asian Countries are one of the major trading partners of the Philippines, and their common attribute is their advancement in terms of Science and Technology. Providing an additional Science High School which would be done in an Architectural Design Approach that specializes in harnessing student productivity and efficiency would help in making the Filipino Youth competent for World Trade. Knowing that it is needed, I must also prove the actual feasibility of the project by identifying the number of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Students in the Province of Cagayan Valley. This data shall gauge the potential number of students in Cagayan that may be interested in enrolling in a Science High School, therefore validating that there is a concrete demand for my project. With this circumstance, I respectfully ask for the following data starting from the year 2016 when K-12 curriculum has taken effect: 1.
