April 20, 2022 Dear Gwynneth Roa, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 18 April 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for the number of teenage pregnancies DURING the pandemic in the: 1) The number of reported mental abuse/psychological abuse cases in the Philippines from 2018-2022 2) The number of reported mental abuse/psychological abuse cases in the Cavite from 2018-2022 Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Department of Health (DOH) that may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 11036 (the “Mental Health Act”), the national government through the DOH shall fund the establishment and assist in the operation of community-based mental health care facilities in the provinces, cities and cluster of municipalities in the entire country based on the needs of the population, to provide appropriate mental health care services, and enhance the rights-based approach to mental health care. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the DOH by submitting a request to the DOH via this portal. You may also contact the DOH by telephone at (632) 8651-7800 local 5003-5004 (632) 165-364 or via email at [email protected]. Further, you may contact the Local Government concerned for your query.
