Your Request
You asked for the number of international and domestic tourist arrival in Morong, Bataan.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.
Below are the standard requirements for Homestay sites provided by the DOT-NCR Accreditation Unit:
Section 9. Minimum Requirements – For Purposes of accreditation, the following are the minimum requirements for the operation and maintenance of homestay sites in accordance with the Department’s national Homestay Program:
Homestay Sites
>There is prevailing peace and order situation in the area.
>There are existing natural and man-made attractions in the community.
>Site is easily accessible to tourist and with existing transportation services, good road condition and other basic community infrastructure.
>The host community is willing to join the National Homestay Program.
>There is a dearth of commercial accommodation facilities in the area to service tourists.
Home Facilities
Structures are of durable building materials and are in good, presentable condition.
>The surroundings are pleasant and healthful.
>There shall be at least one (1) adequately furnished guestroom to accommodate paying visitors.
The following shall be available:
- extra bed/s
- adequate lighting system
- running water or if not available, adequate supply of water
- clean and well-maintained toilet and bathroom facilities
- meals at reasonable rates
- electric fan or other means of ventilation
Training – Family member shall have completed the Department’s training workshop on Homestay Program.
Documentary requirements for DOT-Accreditation for Homestay:
>Valid Mayor's Permit/Business License
>DTI Business Name Certificate (for Sole Proprietor) or SEC Registration >Certificate and Articles of Incorporation and its By-Laws (for Partnerships & Corporations) or Articles of Cooperation and Its By-Laws (for Cooperatives)
>Proof of Attendance to Homestay Training Program conducted by DOT or any DOT-recognized or accredited Training Center
>Other Documents (as deemed necessary by the DOT)
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at 351 Sen.
