Hi I would like to request for information regarding: 1. Statistics on CICL in the Philippines for each region data coverage from 2017 to 2022 or recent 2. Statistics on which city has the most reported cases of CICL in the Philippines The information will be used for my architectural thesis at Cavite State University. All information or document furnished by your office will be used strictly for academic purposes.
April 18, 2023 Dear Dana Anacay, I refer to my letter of Apr 17, 2023 04:55:37 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for The number of Children in Conflict with the Law (CICL) in each region of the Philippines. While we aim to provide information whenever possible, in this instance, we find your request incomplete. Thus, your FOI request did not meet the requisites of a valid FOI request. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) that may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the JJWC oversees the implementation of the law. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 921-0565 or via email at [email protected] .
