25 June 2020 Dear Mr. Elthon Jhon Pado, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 8 June 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following: (1) Current Population of Badjaos in Davao City in 2019 (or latest year with official figures) for research and humanitarian activity. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected]. Furthermore, since you are asking for information specific to Davao City, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Davao City may also have the data you wish to obtain. Therefore, you may also direct your request to the LGU.
