April 14, 2020 Dear Angel Galitan, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Apr 07, 2020 12:25:42 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for The list of authorized rice miller in Laguna and Batangas. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, we no longer have the list of rice millers in areas that you requested. With the passage of Republic Act 11203 or the Rice Tariffication Law in February 2019, the regulatory functions of the NFA was repealed and therefore we no longer issue licenses or registration to businessmen engaged in the rice industry (ricemillers, retailers, wholesalers, etc). The functions of the NFA is now limited to palay procurement from local farmers and buffer stocking for emergencies and calamities. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
