Your request 1) Latest statistics on the number of street children in the Philippines; 2) Latest statistics on the number of juvenile delinquents in the Philippines; 3) Latest statistics on the number of street children in care facilities for rehabilitation Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) and Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the JJWC oversees the implementation of the law. Meanwhile, Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC and to the PSA by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 921-0565 or via email at [email protected] for JJWC and Telephone No.462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected] for PSA.
