Hi, I would like to kindly request for the following data for research and educational purposes: 1) The Business Permits Data of Makati City It would be much appreciated to have the data from 2019 until the latest data available. Thank you.
September 6, 2022 Dear BEATRICE, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 05, 2022 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for The Business Permits Data of Makati City. Response to your request Please be informed that "business permits" is different from "registered Business Name". All we can provide is the number of registered Business Names for sole proprietorship. Also, DTI Business Name registration is not a permit or license to engage in any type of business since the permit to operate is issued by the Business Permit and Licensing Office of the concerned LGU. Thus, if you are looking for the actual number and details of operating businesses, you may inquire with the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of Makati City since they are the ones who issue a business permit to operate. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you. Respectfully, FOI Receiving Officer
