I am writing this to formally request the following information from the Department of Education:
1. Number of student enrollment from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
2. Number of teachers employed from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
3. Student-teacher ratio from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
4. Number of functioning public school facilities from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
5. Number of employed school nurses in public schools from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
6. Memo on school nurse-student ratio
7. Number of employed guidance counselors in public schools from A.Y. 2016 to A.Y. 2021
8. Memo on guidance counselor-student ratio
The purpose of the study is to evaluate the preparedness of the public school for the pilot implementation of the face-to-face classes.
Since the proposed pilot face-to-face classes already acquired its go signal from the President, it is important to look into the preparedness of the agency in terms of the necessary health measures for the safe return of the students to traditional setting.
The data that will be provided by the agency will help inform the articles I will be writing.
