-i read an article about "The Department of Tourism (DOT), in close collaboration with Austria-based research and development organization, Center for Appropriate Technology, identified twenty-seven (27) hotels and resorts as awardees for this year(2018)ANAHAW Philippine Sustainable Tourism Certification. and i thinkit would be a big help for my thesis about theFACTORS AFFECTING THE ADOPTATION OF GREEN TECHNOLOGYwhich focus on the hotels.
-the articie also said that "Official accreditation from the DOT is mandatory before hotels and resorts could apply for the ANAHAW certification, which is categorized into five levels:" i also need those criteria to be accredites the cathegorize level which the hotels have to be awarded
-may i also ask for the survey and the survey result that they used so i can have the factors of them to adopt green technology and the qualification of the dot to choice the awarded hotels

Your Request
You asked for Survey of Anahaw awardees about environmental and sustainable hotels.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. I enclose a copy of the information you requested.
Per coordination with the Department's Standards Development Division, the Anahaw consists of five (5) levels of certification, from entry level 1 for establishments scoring between 50-59%, all the way to level 5 for establishments scoring between 90-100%. Under this scheme, establishments are rated based on compliance with applicable Environmental Laws and Regulations, DOT Accreditation and achievement of at least 50% of the individual performance indicators - environmental policy, administration and management, electricity, energy services, water, building infrastructure and surroundings, waste, wastewater treatment and management, chemicals and detergents, fuel, and environmental protection and cultural preservation.
Likewise, please be informed that the aforementioned office has no data regarding the list of green technology adopted on hotels.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec. Bernadette Romulo-Puyat at 351 Sen.
