Hi, I would like to obtain information about the status of the MIGRANT WORKERS LOAN GUARANTEE FUND (mandated/created by RA 10022). Specifically: 1.) The current balance of the fund in pesos; 2.) The annual revenue/expenditure of the fund or other relevant accounting documents (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) 3.) The quantity of loans grants to OFWs over yearly periods; 4.) The amount of money loaned to OFWs over yearly periods. 5.) Information and requirements for how migrant workers can apply to the fund. 6.) A list of currently participating GFIs- government finance institutions

March 18, 2021 Dear Ms. Grace A. Graciadas, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Mar 17, 2021 05:54:39 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch for information data of the MIGRANT WORKERS LOAN GUARANTEE FUND. Based on Rule XV of RA10022 the OWWA has implemented the Pre-Departure Loans and Family Assistance Loans since the imposition of the Migrant Workers Act in 1995. For details of your study/research kindly write the Administrator of OWWA, Atty. Hans Leo Cacdac for permission to access information and databases. You may initially go over the audited reports of the Commission of Audit on the Program or search for studies done by universities and GFIs . If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at email: [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response and should be made within FIFTEEN (15) calendar days from the date you received this letter.
