Good afternoon! I am conducting research for our thesis regarding jails in Region IV-A CALABARZON. With this, I would like to request for the following:
1. Number of inmates in CALABARZON jails who have been released from 2016-2020
2. Number of inmates under pretrial incarceration in CALABARZON jails from 2016-2020
3. Number of inmates from CALABARZON jails transferred to facilities under the Bureau of Corrections from 2016-2020
4. Projects (both in progress and completed) under the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology CALABARZON pertaining to jail congestion

I apologize for the lack of clarification in my previous request, but I am requesting for the following information:
1. Data showing the number of inmates released from CALABARZON jails from 2016-2020 arranged by the year they were released
2. Data showing the number of inmates still awaiting a court sentence or trial in CALABARZON jails from 2016-2020
3. Number of inmates who came from CALABARZON jails but were transferred to facilities under the Bureau of Corrections from 2016-2020
4. Data on all construction projects of new or renovated CALABARZON jails from 2016-2020

Dear Agatha,
I refer to my letter of Jun 03, 2020 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Status of inmates and projects in CALABARZON jails. In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Aug 26, 2020.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to or visiting our central office.
