Subject: eFOI Request for Statistics on Basic Education Enrollment of International Students
To whom it may concern:
I, Bernice De Gracia, am a 4th Year Communication Arts student from De La Salle University. In one of my major classes, News Writing, our final project is to write a narrative report on any chosen topic. My narrative report will focus on the Filipino culture and patterns of/reasons for OFW immigration.
To further enrich my narrative, I intend on including statistics of foreign students choosing to immigrate to the Philippines for studies, in comparison to Filipino students travelling to study and eventually work abroad in the past three to five years. This comparison aims to defend reasons that may attract Filipinos to move abroad, and vice versa for foreigners attracted to the Philippines in modern times.
With this, I would kindly like to request for the specific documents:
1) Basic Education Enrollment (SY 2018-2019) of international students by region/municipality
2) Basic Education Enrollment (SY 2018-2019) of international students by students' nationality/country of origin
In addition, the main purposes of my eFOI request are the following:
1) To obtain statistical documents that will back-up my narrative report topic for this undergraduate major research class
2) To make a successful FOI request from any government agency as an additional assignment for this research class
I hope that this clarifies my intention. Thank you very much for your accommodation and I hope for a response soon!
