22 November 2019 Dear Mr. Jerom Bagel, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 21 November 2019 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested for information on: (1) Statistical data of poverty in the different cities of Cavite; and (2) Statistical data of malnutrition in the different cities of Cavite Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the National Anti-Poverty Commission (NAPC) that may have the data you need. Under R.A. 8425, the NAPC is the government agency responsible to oversee, monitor and recommend measures to ensure the effective formulation, implementation and evaluation of policies, programs and resource allocation and management of social reform and poverty alleviation programs. You may contact the NAPC via this portal; through telephone at (02) 426-5028; or through email at [email protected]. The Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) of the Department of Science and Technology may also have the data you wish to obtain. Under Executive Order No. 128, series of 1987, the FNRI is the government agency responsible to undertake researches that define the citizenry’s nutritional status, with reference to the malnutrition problem, its causes and effects. You may contact the FNRI via this portal; through telephone at 837-2934 or via email at [email protected]. Furthermore, since you are asking for information specific to Cavite, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Cavite may also have the data you wish to obtain.
