Good day!
I am writing in response to the information asked of me upon my request. I am a journalism student from the University of the Philippines who is currently enrolled in an Investigative Journalism class under Prof. Karol Ilagan.
As part of our academic requirement, we are tasked to obtain a copy of the Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN) of a member of the cabinet from years 2018-2020. This is to train and familiarize us with obtaining, handling and analyzing government documents.
In line with this, I would like to request for the SALN of Secretary Leonor Briones from 2018-2020. Rest assured that these requested documents will be used solely for scholarly purposes.

I refer to my letter of Sep 29, 2021 03:08:19 PM about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth.
Please be informed of the additional requirements you need to submit. To process your request, kindly submit the following documents to [email protected], stating your FOI request tracking code:
a. Letter specifying the purpose of the request and the data being requested (year administration, scope, variables);
a. School ID to show proof that you are enrolled in a higher education institution;
B. Copy of your approved thesis/dissertation proposal signed by your Adviser;
c. Endorsement letter signed by the school Dean.
Note that the Bureau of Education Assessment (BEA) can only release 10% of the actual number of examinees per year. Individual test results with names shall not be released unless the “data subject agrees to the collection and processing of personal information about and/or relating to him/her” per Section 3 of Republic Act 10173 or the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Additionally, a corresponding amount shall be charged by BEA for the processing of the data request.
