Our response to your request is due on Dec 06, 2021 06:37:44 PM. Unfortunately, it is taking longer than expected to deal with your request because this Bureau's FOI Focal Person during Dec 2021 has transferred to another agency effective January 2022, and thus, your FOI Request have not been communicated to the concerned division.
I apologize for this delay but have applied for an extension so we could work further on your request. We hope to be able to send you a response on or before April 15, 2022 06:37:44 PM.

Dear Tam Malabanan,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Nov 15, 2021 06:37:44 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for Shapefile or map of philippine geology including seabed.
Response to Request
We apologize for the late response as the former FOI Focal Person had transferred to another agency effective January 2022.
The response with regard to GIS data on Philippine Geology has been sent to your email today from the Land and Geosciences Division (LGSD). With regard to the Seabed inclusion, the Marine Geological Survey Division (MGSD) states that offshore exploration is still new in the Philippines and the MGSD is still gathering data related to offshore information especially in offshore geology. Hence, we cannot provide the requested information. Perhaps, the land-based geology from the LGSD can be used as reference to determine the offshore extension of the geologic information of the adjacent area necessary for the proposed research on wind farm development.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to the MGB Director at [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011).
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Central Office
