Pintor, a professional schools student taking Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in the Ateneo de Manila University - School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH). As part of our Masters Degree course requirements, we are tasked to select a company of our interest and do strategic management analysis. This means that we will examine how an organization formulates, implements, and applies its strategies, as well as to analyze how the organization utilizes these frameworks to function and thrive in today’s globally competitive environment. Furthermore, we are also required to formulate a Strategic management project proposal by creating appropriate action programs and innovative strategies to address organizational strategic issues and achieve the objectives of the organization while taking external and internal factors of the business into consideration. In line of my current field of training as a clinical physician-manager, I have selected an institution that I am affiliated with and have prior knowledge about, St. Benedict Childhood Education Centre, because of the following reasons: 1. Being an alumnus of the school, I find it fitting to be able to make a partnership with my alma mater in fulfilling my academic goals which it has paved way for me through my many years of basic education in the institution. 2. The company is in line with education systems, a field which I am particularly familiar and interested in. 3. I am interested in working and formulating new strategies and proposals with this organization that will help in maximizing its potential in achieving its objectives (i.e. increase in revenues, increase in market share and customer reach, etc.) In lieu of this, I’d like to express my desire in acquiring data and information that would help me in the analysis of the industry that my company of interest is in, which is the private school sector. Appropriate action programs and innovative strategies to address organizational strategic issues and achieve the objectives of the organization will subsequently be done, while taking external and internal factors of the business into consideration. Methods: This analysis will be conducted through constant commuunication with partner schools as well as through in-depth interviews and site visits.
