Dear Sir/Madam:
Good Day! I am a 5th-year architecture student at the school of Aklan State University-College of Industrial Technology conducting an architectural research on Hygienic Architecture: Smart Sanitization school redevelopment. As a requirement for our subject ARD 9 (Architectural Thesis Research).
The study is about re-designing the public school considering the smart sanitizing innovations and finding a solution on the adaptation of the post-pandemic through an architectural solution that provides a clean, well sanitized, and healthy school environment, that also assists in improving the well-being and quality of education of the students. In this regard, I would like to ask for assistance from your office in procuring relevant data and materials for my research paper.
Hoping for your favorable response.

The outbreak of the pandemic gives us the realization of the more importance of good hygiene and a well-sanitized environment to protect ourselves from infectious disease. Schools are one of the places where prone to transmissions of infectious pathogens like influenza (flu), chickenpox, tuberculosis (TB), and other diseases that can transmit through airborne and contaminated surfaces. Manual sanitizing the classroom facilities using disinfectant chemicals do not provide a 99% safe environment especially when students and teachers are in the presence. To reduce the threats of pathogen transmission, the building should protect itself from infectious pathogens through self-cleaning and sanitizing technology and strategic school design to control infection transmission. For example, considering the use of UV light to sanitize the classrooms safely while students and teachers are in the presence that provides continuous disinfection during class hours. Another example is a facility that prevents itself from producing organic compounds were the causes of the prevalence of diseases and protect itself from pollutants that causing degrading the structure of a building. Through this solution, the school can provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment that may contribute to improving the education of many students. As well as the school building can maintain the quality for the long run with less cost in maintenance. The study aims to provide a solution to provide a safe, clean, and healthy environment that may improve the education of the students through the architectural solution.
