November 11, 2019 Dear Nadine Abenoja, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 23, 2019 04:33:38 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for RULES OF PROCEDURE (INCL APPEAL) OF PNP RETIREMENT AND BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION SERVICE. Response to Request Your FOI request is partially granted. Please note that we are only able to provide some of the information you have requested for as the Rules of procedure must be personally requested through the General Services Division, Records Section, NAPOLCOM Central Office. However, here is an overview of the procedure for pension claims: An application is made through the NAPOLCOM Regional Office wherein applicant shall be given a list of documents to be submitted; Upon submission, documents will be evaluated by the Regional Office; Once found completed, the same shall be forwarded to the Central Office for final evaluation; Afterwards it shall be submitted to the Vice-Chairman for approval, then to the Financial Service for payment. Should the application be denied, the applicant is given fifteen (15) days to appeal the decision. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Mr. Julian Justice M. Ramos [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
