Hi,
I would like to ask kung may nalaabag bang provision ang Lazada and Shopee dahil walang option na magdelete ng User Account? Nagkamali kasi ako at nakagawa ako ng isa pang account sa Lazada, balak ko sanang tanggalin or burahin from their application kaso walang option or functionality para maisakatuparan ito. Sinama ko na din si Shopee kasi pareho lang din namang e-commerce application. Maaari niyo po bang tignan kung may paglabag sa karapatan na hindi ko magawang tanggalin o burahin ang account na nagawa ko sa kanilang application? Maraming salamat po.

Response to Request

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance your request merits further review. Request for clarification on matters relating to data privacy or data protection should be responded through an issuance of Advisory Opinion.  We suggest that you write a letter request to our Privacy Policy Office via [email protected] with the following information indicated. 
 
a. Name and e-mail address; 
 
b. Novel issues, questions of law or matters and other legitimate concerns sought to be clarified or confirmed by the requesting party; 
 
c. A comprehensive narrative of the factual circumstances and legal bases of the request; 
 
d. An affidavit or certification that the subject of the request for advisory opinion is not a matter pending in a case in litigation before the courts, the NPC or is not subject of an ongoing investigation or compliance check;  

Your right to request a review

If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response, by writing to Privacy Commissioner and Chairman Raymund E. Liboro at [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result, within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.

If you are not satisfied with result of the review, you then have the right to seek the appropriate judicial remedy before the courts.
