I refer to my letter of February 13, 2020 about your request under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch, for
Request data on the total length of railways in PH as of 2018 (in km).

Dear DOTr,
The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) Rizalino S. Navarro Policy Center for Competitiveness (AIM RSN PCC) is the public policy think-tank of the Institute. In line with the Center’s mission to contribute to evidence-based policy-making and research, it has partnered with the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), a leading business school based in Lausanne, Switzerland, for the World Competitiveness Yearbook (WCY) since 1997. WCY is one of the world’s leading annual publications in ranking the competitiveness of countries based on official statistics, different economic indicators and data from an Executive Opinion Survey.
In line with this, we would like to request for data on the total length of railways in the Philippines as of 2018 (in kilometers).
These data will be needed in the WCY country analysis for the Philippines. Specifically, these data will be used to help rank the Philippines in terms of different competitiveness aspects such as the quality of infrastructure.
