I increased voluntarily my personal (employee) contribution, around Php1,400 per month, in Regular Savings (MP1) since 2018, so my question is: 1. Can I remove my voluntary payment (Php1,400) and pay only the mandatory contributions in my succeeding payments so I can increase my MP2 savings? Thank you.

14 April 2021 Dear MS. CONIE JUAN, This refers to your eFOI request received on 29 March 2021 sent to the eFOI portal of the Home Development Mutual Fund (Fund) wherein you inquired on how to remove your voluntary contribution of One Thousand Four Hundred Pesos (Php 1,400) in your Regular Savings (P1) and pay only the mandatory contributions in your succeeding payments so you can increase your Modified Pag-IBIG 2 (MP2) savings. Our Office deemed it proper to raise this matter to and confer with the operating unit concerned – the Member Services Support Unit (MSSU). Our MSSU confirmed that a member can revert to Pag-IBIG mandatory contributions of One Hundred Pesos (Php 100) as employee share. The member will just have to write the employer on the revocation of the upgraded savings. Please also note that the stipulation on revocation of increased savings is contained in the request form that the member submits to his/her employer (Pag-IBIG Form HQP PFF250).
