Dear Mr. Canua: We write in reply to your FOI request we received in our portal regarding the showing of DepEd modules for learning on some television channels. We are pleased to inform you that MTRCB was invited to join several discussions with regard to the proposed blended learning of DepEd, specifically with the use of television as one of the mediums of instruction. As you may be aware, last 10 August 2020, they already had their kick off and since then have continuously conducting test broadcast. Thus, consistent with Section 7 of Presidential Decree No. 1986 and in line with our effort to contribute to society in this time of pandemic, all broadcast by DepEd, being government-produced materials are exempted from review and classification with the MTRCB.
