Here in the U.S., the rape-kit backlog is finally getting addressed, and the numbers are falling…

… where I am, too.

How about back in the PH? I can't find any updates on it.
The latest data I've found is from 2012:

Could I ask the state of the kits in the PH? Thanks!

Dear Jose-Mari Tumang,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Oct 23, 2023 02:21:54 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your Request
You asked for the Situation of Rape-Kits.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. Please be informed that the NBI is equipped with rape and sexual assault kits which are under the custody of the Bureau's Medico-Legal Division, Forensic and Scientific Research Service.
However, the NBI is not the sole law enforcement agency mandated to act on cases involving rape and sexual assault. You may likewise inquire with the Philippine National Police (PNP) and their Women's Desk for additional information on the matter at https://www.foi.gov.ph/requests?agency=PNP
Thank you.
Respectfully,
Atty. RUSTICO Q. VIGILIA

Thank you for approving! (And yes, I've sent to the P.N.P., too, then. Thanks for the referral!) Since this is my 1st request of this sort, I'm a bit uncertain as to what happens next & how Ill receive the info. I can't exactly appear in person until months from now, at least. (Unfortunately, I'm not in the PH right now, and the earliest I'll be back God willing will be sometime 2024.) Will it be here or by e-mail?
