I have been provided a PUF file for the Labor Force Survey (LFS) and exporting the DCF file to STATA-ready files is relatively easy. However, extracting the STATA file is difficult because the STATA software has a limit of 32000 variables while my exported dcf file contains 42000 variables. Is there any other option how can I convert my dcf file to Stata-ready files?

Dear Hannah Luching,
Greetings!
Thank you for your request dated Sep 01, 2020 10:25:19 PM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch.
Your FOI request is approved. For your specific inquiry, you may adjust the configuration files of the STATA. Or you should not convert or export the data in one file. You may try to disaggregate the data by region first and then export the datasets.
We would love to hear your Feedback so we can improve our services. Kindly fill out the PSA Customer feedback form from this link: https://goo.gl/forms/J8QrjkKm0ui9zB9n1
Thank you.
