You asked for PUV MODERNIZATION PROGRAM IN BACOOR CAVITE. Your FOI request is approved. Here is the response from our Road Sector. "To answer the request, before we delve into the implementation of the Public Utility Vehicle (PUV) Modernization Program in Bacoor Cavite, the Local Public Transport Route Plan (LPTRP) should be finalized first (attached in this e-mail is the JMC between DOTr and DILG). The following are the steps: 1. Capacity building for LGUs by the DOTr 2. LPTRP preparation and submission by the LGUs 3. LPTRP approval and franchise issuance by the LTFRB For the Route Rationalization, on the other hand, the Department is still in the process of procuring a technical consultant who will conduct the Rationalization Study. The study itself would take 7 months to be fully accomplished."
