Good morning. May we please request on the specific/disaggregated list of items used for the computation of the Consumer Price Index from the Family Income and Expenditure Survey. The publication posted on PSA's website only lists down the aggregated groups/classifications of items. We have found that in countries like Singapore and Japan have published detailed information on this. We are seeking this information to be able to conduct research on shortening the length of the FIES questionnaire. The research is in collaboration with PSA. Thank you.

December 10, 2019 Dear Nadeen Martinez, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Dec 04, 2019 09:58:23 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your Request You asked for Public Use File with Quantity of Food and Non-Food Items (FIES). Response to Request We are pleased to inform you that we provide PUF of FIES, however as a policy, may we request you of the following: 1. Send a letter of formal request addressed to our Head of Agency with an affixed signature of the Agency Head/Thesis Adviser of the requester indicating the specific data of puf, its reference period, and the purpose of using the microdata to [email protected] 2. Once the request is approved, we will send you Data Product Agreement for your signature. 3. Requested data will be provided to you once required documents are processed and approved. Also, we provide dataset upon personal visit to the PSA library at PSA-CVEA bldg. PSA complex, East Avenue, Diliman, Quezon city. Please bring the signed request letter and data product agreement will be signed at the library. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
