Additionally, there is one PPP infrastructure project in Negros Occidental which is currently in our pipeline – the Negros Occidental Bulk Water Supply Project. The Project involves the design, financing, construction, and operation and maintenance of a bulk water supply facility that aims to cater to six LGUs in the Province. The Project aims to address the increasing water demand of
the Province by developing surface water as the source to provide a potable, sustainable, and resilient water supply and at the same time reducing dependency on groundwater/use of deep wells. The raw water for the system will be sourced from one of the rivers in Negros Occidental.
The Project will be implemented through a Solicited public-private partnership (PPP) scheme under the legal framework of the Province of Negros Occidental P4 Code (Provincial Ordinance No. 2018-001 s. 2018). As the Project is currently in the feasibility study stage, the return on investment (ROI) is yet to be determined.
