Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE)

On 25 October 2020, POLO-HK denied access to the POLO-HK premises claiming that individuals must "have an appointment" to receive assistance. However, given that there is no appointment booking mechanisms this seems to be a non-transparent policy.

I would like to know why POLO-HK is refusing to assistant Philippines Nationals, yet employment agencies are allowed to walk in and out of the POLO-HK premises without any appointment and often with numerous representatives or other staff accompanying them.

If POLO-HK has implemented an appointment only policy, what is the process?

* POLO-HK does not implement appointment system especially on the request for assistance and the complainant can come to POLO-HK anytime during office hours.

* With respect to Foreign Placement Agencies, their association requested for meetings to clarify issues related to deployment of OFWs.
