You asked for Policy on Determining Tuition Fee for Foreign Students.
Response to Request
Your FOI request is approved. I enclose the information you requested.
This is regarding your query on the policy for determining the tuition fee of foreign students. As per UP Diliman's General Information for Graduate Applicants:
Graduate applicants pay a non-refundable application fee of a minimum of P100 for Filipinos, P200 for resident aliens, and US$25 or its equivalent in Philippine Pesos for non-resident aliens, depending on the college.
The matriculation fees (i.e., tuition, miscellaneous, and student fund) range from P2,993.50 to P31,493.50 for a minimum of three (3) to a maximum of twelve (12) units. To this amount should be added P100 deposit and P30 entrance fee. Laboratory fees range from P150 to P1800 per laboratory subject, depending on the college.
All foreign graduate students are required to pay the Education Development Fee (EDF) as follows:
Per Semester - Resident Aliens US$250, Non-Resident Aliens US$100
Per Midyear Term - Resident Aliens US$500, Non-Resident Aliens US$200
Following are updated information re application, matriculation and laboratory fees from UPD. The matriculation fees for graduate programs depend on the approved tuition fee of the colleges, while for undergraduate programs, it is Php1,500 per unit.
Application Fee
Local - Php100
Resident alien - Php150
Non-Resident Alien - $30
Matriculation fees (semestral) for foreign students
Non-Resident Alien - from Php26,923.50 to Php207,376 (LLM)
Resident Alien - from Php14,423.50 to Php194,876.50
Laboratory Fees range from Php150 to Php3,500
