Hi I received this message today from one of the lending app I subscribed and would like to verify if NBI are aware of this modus or is this something within their scope of support. Guevarra your personal info has been sent to us by your consolidated online lending you need to pay it as soon as possible so as not to accept the case of Small Claim. Dear Bliss, Greetings! Thank you for your message under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. As regards your concern, may we advice that you ignore the said text message since it is clear that the information indicated thereat is erroneous. Atty. Dante Gierran is no longer the NBI Director and neither connected to the Bureau anymore. In addition, Atty. Menardo Guevarra is the current secretary of the Department of Justice and he will not informally send text messages as such. In the event that you want the matter to be further investigated, and if there is no quarantine restriction or lockdown in your area, you may proceed to the nearest NBI District Office, and submit your complaint- affidavit together with all other documentary pieces of evidence that you may adduce on your behalf. May we also remind you that in sending FOI requests, please ensure that, in addition to all the mandatory fields, you also provide a scanned copy of any government-issued identification card. If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by sending an email to [email protected]. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
