Dear Sir/Madam, I would like to request an official document from DILG which states that the said department is compliant and is using the ISO 3166-2 standards set by ISO. I found Administrative Order No. 5, s. 2010 entitled Adoption and Use of ISO Codes PH and PHL for Philippines under gov.ph website but this only pertains to ISO 3166-1 for the country code. Your help and assistance on this is very much appreciated. Thank you for your time and kind consideration. Sincerely, Faye Santiago
August 11, 2020 Dear Faye Santiago, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Aug 06, 2020 11:59:43 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Official Document Showing that DILG is Compliant with ISO 3166-2. Response to your request While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance this Office does not have the information you have requested. To clarify, the "ISO 3166-2" is a code assigned to the Philippines as part of the ISO. It does not have any significant effect on how the Philippine Government Operates. That in mind, this office does not have any certifications regarding the assignment of such code, if there is any at all. Nor we have any documentation proving the membership of the Philippines in the ISO in general. You may ask the Office of the President through their contact details posted in their website https://op-proper.gov.ph/contact-us/ - if they have copies of such documentations. Also, to add to this, the DILG is ISO 9001:2015 Certified. You may find further details here, if it is relevant to your research: https://dilg.gov.ph/transparency/ For further assistance you may review the FAQ section of the eFOI site: https://www.foi.gov.ph/help. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Sec Eduardo Año, DILG-NAPOLCOM Center, Quezon Ave., Quezon City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request. If you are not satisfied with the result of the review, you then have the right to appeal to the Office of the President under Administrative Order No. 22 (s. 2011). Thank you. Respectfully, Lourdes Lladones FOI Officer
