Good day!
I, Karen Jessica Apuan, together with my research partner Ro-Ann Alexis Baetiong, am respectfully asking your good office to provide us assistance in the accomplishment of our research paper. We are 5th-year optometry students of Manila Central University. We are conducting our research paper as partial fulfillment for the requirements of Doctor of Optometry. To state factual and relevant information, we are requesting the specific information below:
1. Total number of elementary school teachers that are actively teaching or in teaching-related positions in Caloocan City
2. Total number of elementary pupils enrolled in both public and private schools in Caloocan City
3. Any information regarding the implementation of the National Vision Screen Act in Caloocan City
4. Any information regarding the training, seminars, and programs conducted in Caloocan City about Vision problems.
The Abstract of the study is stated under.
The research will be conducted using floating online questionnaires or surveys which will target random elementary school teachers to assess their level of awareness regarding learning-related vision problems that affect academic performance in selected schools in Caloocan City. The study aims to know whether there will be a significant difference between the demographic profile of the teachers and their level of awareness about vision problems. It also aims to know how well the teachers are conscious of the role of optometrists in the management of ocular and visual problems.
The intended output of our project is a published research paper.
Thank you so much for your consideration. Looking forward to hearing from you.
