I am Mark Vincent R. Mercene, a BS Development Communication student from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. I would like to request your available data about the number of teachers in primary, secondary, and tertiary schools who were found guilty of sexual harassment against their students from 2009-2021 for every region in the Philippines. This could be based on the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 and other laws related to the said crime.

I am Mark Vincent Mercene, a BS Development Communication student from the University of the Philippines Los Baños. I am writing this letter to formally request data from your organization about the “Number of Teachers in Primary, Secondary and Tertiary Schools who were found Guilty of Sexual Harassment against their Students from 2009-2021 for every Region in the Philippines.” This could be based on the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 and other laws related to the said crime.
I plan to use the said data for the Record Request Project of one of my subjects, DEVC 127: Data Journalism for Development, where we are tasked to request data about a relevant social issue that is not available on the internet. I firmly believe that this data will be helpful to also for journalistic articles to analyze the safe spaces in educational institutions for better improvement of laws and programs about the said issue and the public awareness about it.
