Hi! I am Grace Eden S. Decierdo, a student taking Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Masters in Business Administration (MBA) in the Ateneo de Manila University - School of Medicine and Public Health (ASMPH). As part of our MBA course requirements, we are tasked to select a company of our interest and do strategic management analysis. This means that we will examine how an organization formulates, implements, and applies its strategies, as well as to analyze how the organization utilizes these frameworks to function and thrive in today’s globally competitive environment.
I have selected to do my analysis on a school based in Tacloban City. I would like to request access to information that would help me in the analysis of the industry that my company of interest is in, which is the basic education sector. Should you allow, I would like to request data on the following (2017 up to present):
• DepEd budget breakdown for Region VIII;
• List of schools in Region VIII – Eastern Visayas, both public and private, offering primary to secondary levels of education;
• School demographics in Tacloban City, both public and private schools offering primary to secondary levels of education (number of enrollees, gender and religion distribution, number of employees);
• List of school ranking for pre-school, primary and secondary education
• Latest tuition fees for private primary and secondary schools in Tacloban City

In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Jan 06, 2021.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to or visiting our central office. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter.
