Good day! I am a fifth-year student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Architecture at Iloilo Science and Technology University working on my Thesis entitled “Kinaadman Beyond Borders: Revolutionizing Learning Environment for SPED-Exceptional Children at Jalandoni Memorial Elementary School.” This is a requirement for our course on ARD 509 (Design 9 - Thesis Research Writing). In this regard, I am requesting to your good office or department for assistance to gather and acquire pertinent data that are relevant to my chosen Thesis study with the following information:
1. Number of SPED Centers in Iloilo City from 2019-2024 both public and private
2. Number of SPED enrollees in Iloilo City from 2019-2024
3. Demographic profile of SPED enrollees in Iloilo City from 2019-2024
The goal of my research is to design a learning environment conducive to the exceptional learners. Providing that it can deliver comfort, efficiency, better lifestyle, livelihood, employment, and outside world opportunities of the students with special needs. A design that reflects the features of the existing site and applies the standard measurements, dimensions, and features required by the DepEd order and laws. Creation of interactive spaces and deliberating the essence of a sense of place in the project.
The main objectives of this research are the following:
1.To identify the composition of a SPED facility and spaces that will support the needs of the user.
2.To develop a sustainable inclusive facility conducive to the needs, learning and improvement of the user.
3.To design a learning environment dedicated to the SPED students, teachers and community with effective awareness of their special needs.
I understand that you may need to review and adjust the data based on your records and policies. I assure you that all information that will be obtained will be utilized exclusively for educational purposes only and assurance of discretion and privacy will be observed.
