April 11, 2023 Dear Masacsy Hirano, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Apr 05, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Number of Solo Parents in the Philippines and in Zambales. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that may have the data you require. Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the PSA is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected]. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Secretary REX GATCHALIAN at DSWD-Central Office, IBP Road Batasan Pambansa Complex, Constitution Hills, Quezon City. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
