I, Eunice Labial Pineda, a fifth-year student of BS Architecture from the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP), am conducting a research for my Architectural Design 9 (Thesis Proposal) with the thesis title “Academy of Film and Media Arts”, for the compliance with my degree for the academic year 2019-2020.

Good Day! I'm doing a thesis about a Film and Media Arts academy in Cagayan de Oro City which in my hypothesis, will be a pioneering school in Mindanao. The proposed academy will house various courses specifically, Filmmaking/Directing, 2D and 3D Animation, Graphic/Multimedia Design, and Performing Arts in Acting, all of which have a Diploma, Certificate and 10-week programs. I am currently doing my Baseline Data in which I collect as much data that supports my study. Determining the current number of Senior High School taking Arts and Design Track within the Region will justify this proposal since this SHS Track aligns with the programs my proposed academy offers and the future of the academy relies on its users. We are aware that taking up Art is navigating a non-traditional career path and taking the road less traveled. My goal is to widen the highway and building an option to Mindanaoans who aspire in Film, Animation, and Multimedia Arts industry.
