September 22, 2023 Dear Mark Bloomarie, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated Sep 20, 2023 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You asked for Number (#) of micro businesses per barangay in District V in Quezon City.. Response to your request Please be informed that "registered business" is different from "registered Business Name". All we can provide is the number of registered Business Names for sole proprietorship. Also, DTI Business Name registration is not a permit or license to engage in any type of business since the permit to operate is issued by the Business Permit and Licensing Office of the concerned LGU. Thus, if you are looking for the actual number and details of operating businesses, you may inquire with the Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO) of the concerned LGU since they are the ones who issue a business permit to operate. And also kindly note that we cannot identify if a business name is classified as small, medium or large business due to reason that we don't require the capitalization in the registration of business name. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to. Your review request should explain why you are dissatisfied with this response, and should be made within 15 calendar days from the date when you received this letter. We will complete the review and tell you the result within 30 calendar days from the date when we receive your review request.
