1 October 2020 Dear Ms. Jameelah Catindig, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 10 September 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested for information on gender, number of family members and livelihood details of IP in Province of Zambales, specifically the municipality of San Felipe. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) that may have the data you wish to obtain. Under Republic Act No. 8371, the NCIP is the primary government agency that formulates and implements policies, plans and programs for the recognition, promotion and protection of the rights and well-being of IPs with due regard to their ancestral domains and lands, self-governance and empowerment, social justice and human rights and cultural integrity. Therefore, you may wish to direct your request to the NCIP via this portal. Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to Secretary ROLANDO JOSELITO D. BAUTISTA at DSWD-Central Office, IBP Road Batasan Pambansa Complex, Constitution Hills, Quezon City.
