Good day! May we request for the data on the total number of insurance companies in Romblon (Life and Non-Life) from 2018-2020.
Additionally, kindly state the reason for the increase/decrease in number of insurance companies in 2019 and 2020.

To clarify, we kindly request for the number of companies with branches in Romblon, companies established there and companies with headquarters therein.
Additionally, may we request for the amount of insurance premium, as well as the no. of life and non-life insurance in the above-classified companies for 2018-2020?

You asked for Number of Insurance Companies (Life and Non-Life) in Romblon.
Response to Request
According to the Licensing Division of the Insurance Commission, we cannot provide the number of insurance companies operating within a specific province. Please note that the license to an insurance company allows it to operate within and anywhere in the Philippines.
In this regard, please be advised that as of 29 September 2021 there are currently five (5) composite insurance companies (life and non-life), twenty-six (26) life companies, and fifty-two (52) non-life insurance companies being regulated by this Commission.
Please be also advised that for a more comprehensive list, you may visit the Insurance Commission website through the following link: https://www.insurance.gov.ph/regulated-entities/life-and-non-life-companies/.
Your right to request a review
If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to [email protected].
