May 15, 2020 Dear Milagros Foronda, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated May 15, 2020 10:48:30 AM under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. However, you may wish to contactat , or resubmit your request addressed to the correct agency on the eFOI portal at . Your right to request a review If you are unhappy with this response to your FOI request, you may ask us to carry out an internal review of the response by writing to . The number of medical professionals vis-a-vis total employees are not among the information required to be submitted in any of the reports being filed in the SEC. The same may be true for all other agencies but you are not precluded from exploring whether this is covered in any public or private surveys, particularly in light of the current COVID-19 situation. We regret that we cannot offer to provide any assistance in this regard. Apart from the DOH, you may want to explore directly coordinating with other potential sources, among others: For the number of medical practitioners, you may inquire with the PRC and/or the Philippine Medical Association; for other info, DOLE and/or the Philippine Statistics Authority in case they cover the medical practitioners in their labor and employment surveys. However, information on the proportion of medical practitioners vis-a-vis number of employees may be difficult to obtain from any of the said sources. By the way, the minimum number of nurses or doctors to be employed by a company are in proportion to the number of employees, as provided in Book IV – Health, Safety and Social Welfare Benefits of the Labor Code of the Philippines, and the related Implementing Rules and Regulations. We hope you would find the foregoing information helpful. Thank you. Respectfully, Violeta Infante FOI Officer
