Hi! I am a journalism student from University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman conducting a research regarding crash incidents in UP campus. I would like to request tabulated data (excel file or any format) regarding the number of crash incidents from January 1, 2009 to February 1, 2019 including the following:

1. Time and date of incident
2. Location (Street/Avenue/Road)
3. Collision type
4. Weather/other factors leading to the incidents
5. Number of injuries/deaths
6. Vehicle type involved

This will be used for J 116 Data Journalism class. Thank you very much!

Purpose/(s) stated for request –  Research for J116 Data Journalism class

Since you did not provide proof of Filipino citizenship  which is required under the UP FOI Manual, we regret that in the meantime we are constrained to DENY your request.
Article III Section 7 of the 1987 Constitution which  is the basis for the requirement under the UP FOI Manual states:

“The right of the people to information on matters of public concern shall be recognized. Access to official records, and to documents, and papers pertaining to official acts, transactions, or decisions, as well as to government research data used as basis for policy development, shall be afforded the citizen, subject to such limitations as may be provided by law.”

You must also submit the following certification  as required by the UP System FOI Manual via email to [email protected] once you have re-filed your request via the eFOI portal.
