You requested for information on: (1) the total number of children in public and private orphanages this year, particularly from January to November 2019.
Response to your request
The DSWD only has limited information on number (1), specifically to those children residing in its centers and institutions.
Thus, we shall partially grant your request and we shall refer your request with respect to this matter to the proper DSWD office.
Under Republic Act 10625 (the “Philippine Statistical Act of 2013”), the Philippine Statistics Authority is the government agency responsible for preparing and conducting periodic censuses on population, housing, agriculture, fisheries, business, industry and other sectors of the economy. The PSA may have the complete data for number (1). Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the PSA by submitting a request to the PSA via this portal. You may also contact the PSA by telephone at 462-6600 locals 839, 833 and 834 or via email at [email protected].

In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Jul 21, 2022.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
Your right to request a review
