13 February 2020 Dear Ms. Carmela Tandoc, Greetings! Thank you for your request dated 12 February 2020 under Executive Order No. 2 (s. 2016) on Freedom of Information in the Executive Branch. Your request You requested information on the following: (1) Total number of CICLs per year (any available data) pref. 2015-2018; (2) Demographic number of CICLs per Cities of Region III (if available); (3) Common Committed Crime Cases of CICLs. Response to your request Unfortunately, the DSWD does not have the information you need. Thus, we are constrained to deny your request. It is the Juvenile Justice and Welfare Council (JJWC) that may have the data that you require. Under Republic Act 10630 (the “Juvenile Justice Welfare Act”), the JJWC oversees the implementation of the law. Hence, you may wish to direct your request to the JJWC by submitting a request to them via this portal. You may also contact them by telephone at 921-0565 or via email at [email protected]. Furthermore, since you are asking for information specific to Region III, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Region III may also have the data you wish to obtain. Therefore, you may also direct your request to the LGU.
