To Whom It May Concern:
I am a master’s student and an ADB-JSP scholar at the University of Tokyo, commencing a thesis under the Department of Community and Global Health. I am writing to request supplemental data to help me proceed with my Master's thesis entitled "Socio-emotional quality of life of school-age children in during the COVID-19 Pandemic in the Philippines"
Through a mixed-methods approach, my study aims to measure the current socio-emotional functioning of school-age children, obtain the children’s experiences and perceptions about how they have been during the pandemic, and explore associations between low or high socio-emotional functioning and the children’s experiences and perceptions.
I am currently in the middle of writing my protocol and would need data to supplement computing an adequate sample size for my study thus, I would like to request data on the following:
1) Number of households in Marikina City
2) Number children aged 6-12 in Marikina City
3) Number of private and public schools in Marikina City
4) Number of children enrolled in Public and Private educational institutions in Marikina City for the lastest school year
5) Number of children who have dropped out or are not enrolled in any educational institution in the Marikina City for the latest school year
My thesis will mainly be a completion requirement for my Master's Degree, but I will attempt to apply to publish my results in select scientific journals, and share my results and analysis with the city governement, should it be requested.

In particular, I had requested specific information for you to clarify upon in order for us to proceed with the request.
As we have not received a reply within the 60-day working period since the letter requesting for clarification was sent out, we regret to inform you that this request will be closed as of Jul 21, 2021.
You may wish to submit a new request describing the specific information you are looking for, and we will be able to consider it under the guidelines as stated in Executive Order No. 2.
